“Diversity is being invited to the party; inclusion is being asked to dance”
Verna Myers

Romans 5:8 - But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Consider: how Saul persecuted the Christian church (Acts 9). This was a major character flaw, yet Jesus pursues a relationship with him. It was Jesus’ love for Saul that changed his life. Jesus not only accepted this man but gave him a new name (Paul) and made him part of His team. Paul came to the party and Jesus asked him to “dance”, because of this inclusion, he changed his ways and started preaching the message of Jesus where ever he went.

Remember: that Jesus is completely aware of your character flaws. He still accepts you and he wants to include you. When Adam and Eve realised that God saw that they had sinned, they hid away. We often do the same; we withdraw ourselves from God and church when we sin. I love how Paul does the opposite of Adam and Eve. Jesus confronts him about his sin and what does Paul do? He doesn’t run away and try to hide from God; instead, he runs to God and surrenders his entire life and ministry to Him.

Choose: like Paul, to run to God, not from Him.
