A great way to get to deeply and intimately know our heavenly Father better is to take a closer look at His names. God’s names reveal much about who He is, His awesome character and how He relates to us. During this Week of Prayer and Fasting, we aim to abstain from food (for as long or as short as God leads) to create space to focus on seven different names of God. Our desire is that prayer and the conscious removal of daily distractions will help each of us draw closer to God. For tips on a healthy fast or different types of fasting, take a look at this article.

To supplement your prayer time, you may want to also do the YouVersion devotion "Six Days of the Names of God".
